Nia Espie selected for Welsh Senior Womens Squad

At just 16 years of age, Nia Espie has been plucked from the ranks of the Welsh girls Elite Development Squad to join the senior womens squad. In doing so Nia has become the 1st Preseli Storm Basketball Club Player to be selected at senior level.

This is a fantastic achievement on all levels - to achieve this at 16 is a phenomenal achievement and from a club in the outlying rural area of the country.

Nia had originally been selected last year, alongside her fellow Preseli players Zoe Thomas and Eluned Walters for the Welsh Girls Elite Development Squad. This in itself was a major achievement for all three girls.

Further proof, if it was needed of the massive steps achieved by the club over the past few years.
